Terms of Service

The short version

Flunis is a language-learning app. You pay us, we give you lessons and an AI speaking partner. If you break the app on purpose, spam other learners or try to pass Flunis lessons off as your own product, we'll close your account. Everything below is the longer version of that.

Your account

One person, one account. You're responsible for whatever happens under your login, so pick a password you don't use anywhere else and keep it to yourself. If something looks off — strange sessions, unexpected charges — write to hello@flunis.com and we'll help you lock it down.

Paying for Pro

Flunis has a free tier that stays free, and a Pro plan billed monthly or yearly. The current prices live on the pricing section. Pro renews automatically on the same date each cycle until you cancel, and you can cancel from your settings at any point — your access runs to the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't invoice you again after that.

Applicable taxes are added at checkout based on the billing address you give us. We do not offer paid trials today; the free tier is the trial, and it has no time limit.

Refunds

If you subscribe to Pro and realise within 14 days it's not for you, email hello@flunis.com and we'll refund you in full — as long as you've used fewer than ten Pro-only interactions (a conversation session, a writing correction or a mock exam each count as one). After that window, or past that usage, we can't offer refunds, but you can still cancel so you're not charged again.

What you agree not to do

Use Flunis to learn a language. Don't use it to scrape our lessons, to generate content that's illegal or meant to harass someone, to share a single login with a group, or to repackage our curriculum and sell it on. If you're a teacher who wants to run Flunis with a class, talk to us first — we're happy to work something out.

Who owns what

The lessons, exam prep content, interface and voice prompts belong to Flunis. You get a personal licence to use them while your account is active, nothing more. Things you create in the app — your writing, your recordings, your notes — stay yours. You give us permission to process them so the product can actually work (scoring pronunciation, generating corrections, showing you your own history), and we won't use them for anything else.

About the AI

The conversations, corrections and feedback you get from Flunis come from large language models. They're usually right, sometimes wrong, and occasionally confidently wrong. Treat them the way you'd treat a tutor who's knowledgeable but not infallible — good for language practice, not a substitute for legal, medical, financial or academic advice.

Uptime and outages

We try hard to keep Flunis running around the clock, but we're not promising perfect availability. Sometimes a model provider goes down, sometimes we roll out a bad deploy and have to roll it back, sometimes we schedule maintenance. When something breaks we tell you, and for serious extended outages on Pro plans we credit billing time.

Changes to these terms

Products move, and so do their terms. When we change anything that actually affects you, we'll email the address on your account at least 14 days before it takes effect, so you have time to read it and decide whether to keep using Flunis. Small edits (typos, clarifying a sentence, swapping a broken link) will just show up here with a fresh “last updated” date.

Closing accounts

You can delete your account from settings whenever you want. We can close an account too, for abuse of the service or repeated violations of these terms — we'll tell you why and, when it's reasonable, give you a chance to fix it first.
